What is Pokemon Team Rocket Edition?
Pokemon Team Rocket Edition: DragonsDen Version is a fan-made Pokemon Emerald ROM hack originally released in Spanish as Pokemon Edición Team Rocket.
Instead of starting as a traditional Pokemon Trainer, you join Team Rocket as a Grunt. Missions from your superiors move the story forward and allow you to rise through the organization’s hierarchy.
The story takes place around familiar events from the Pokemon games, but you experience them from Team Rocket’s perspective. Missions reveal what the organization is doing behind the scenes while introducing new characters, locations, experiments, conflicts and storylines of its own.
The adventure eventually expands beyond Kanto into the Sevii Islands, Johto and Hoenn, creating a much larger Team Rocket storyline than the opening part of the game suggests.
This website covers DragonsDen’s Pokemon Team Rocket Edition, not Pokemon FireRed Rocket Edition by ColonelSalt. The two are separate games built from different Pokemon titles.

The 3.0 release expands the game with new story content, mechanics, Pokemon data and quality-of-life improvements while retaining the existing adventure from earlier releases.

Story and Team Rocket Progression
You begin the adventure as a Team Rocket Grunt in the Sevii Islands.
Rather than collecting Gym Badges as your main objective, your early role is to follow orders and complete missions assigned by Team Rocket. Successful missions gradually move you higher through the organization.
Your position within Team Rocket is reflected in the story and your character’s appearance as you progress through the ranks.
The early events take place alongside parts of Red and Blue’s adventure, allowing you to see familiar situations from a different perspective. Instead of following the traditional hero, you see what Team Rocket is doing before, during and after events players already recognize.
As the story continues, the scope becomes much larger. Missions eventually take you through Kanto, the Sevii Islands, Johto and Hoenn while exploring Team Rocket operations, experiments, characters and projects created specifically for this version of the game.

Pokemon Through Generation 9

Easy, Normal and Hard Difficulty
Players can choose between Easy, Normal and Hard modes from the Options menu.
This allows the same adventure to support different levels of challenge instead of relying on one fixed difficulty.
Day, Afternoon and Night
The current version includes a day, afternoon and night system.
This expands how time is represented throughout the game and is one of the major mechanics introduced with the 3.0 release.
Mega Evolutions and Mega Stones
Mega Evolution is a major part of Team Rocket Edition.
The game includes its existing Mega Evolutions and Mega Stones together with newer Mega content added in the current release, including Mega Evolutions from Pokemon Legends: Z-A and its DLC.

More Than 200 Reusable TMs
Pokemon Team Rocket Edition includes more than 200 TMs, and TMs can be used repeatedly.
The current release also includes a broader review of Pokemon movepools, including level-up moves and egg moves.

No Dedicated HM Slave Required
You do not need to keep a Pokemon in your party only to carry required HM moves.
Having the required HM in your Bag is enough to use it where applicable.
EV Training Before the Pokemon League
EV training is available before reaching the Pokemon League, giving players a way to prepare teams for more difficult battles without waiting until very late in the game.
Mints for Changing Natures
Mints are available for changing Pokemon Natures, making it easier to keep a Pokemon you want to use while adjusting its Nature for your team.
Maximum Level Can Rise to 150
After a certain event in the adventure, the Pokemon level cap can increase from 100 to 150.
The game’s level-up movepools have also been expanded for the higher level range.
More Than 20 Gym Leaders
Across the game’s regions and extended storyline, players can encounter more than 20 Gym Leaders alongside Team Rocket bosses, mission battles and other important Trainers.
Side Missions and Optional Content
Pokemon Team Rocket Edition contains many side missions in addition to its main story.
Optional content can lead to unique Pokemon, useful rewards, additional scenes and other discoveries. The 3.0 update added several more side missions.
NPCs Respond to Story Progress
Dozens of NPCs and other characters can update their dialogue as the story and timeline progress.
Returning to previously visited characters can therefore reveal different conversations, and some NPCs can provide rewards when spoken to again.
Start the Adventure with Zubat
Zubat remains closely connected to the player’s Team Rocket journey from the beginning.
Mints and the wider selection of moves and mechanics provide ways to continue developing Pokemon you want to keep throughout the adventure.
Physical/Special Split and Modernized Battle Mechanics
The game uses the physical/special split rather than the original Game Boy Advance type-based system.
Pokemon, moves, abilities and items have also received changes and additions throughout the game’s development.
Z-Moves and Other Battle Mechanics
Z-Moves remain part of the game’s wider set of battle mechanics alongside Mega Evolution, custom Pokemon forms and other changes introduced across previous releases.
